Happy Mother’s Day to all my Mommies out there!

Today, is a day for honoring the most influential person in your Life, your Mother.  I was truly humbled today when Bed Rest Concierge was featured on the cover of I Messenger.  It’s great to be featured and thought of as making life easier for Women.  My Grandmother would be proud of the work, and services that I do.  I never thought in all of my years in Corporate Finance and Accounting, that I would eventually become a Mompreneur and devote my life to Mother’s and their babies.  It’s the most fulfilling thing I have ever done, and sometimes I truly can’t believe where this idea has taken me.  Sitting in my hospital bed in March of 2011 thinking, please please please let me get out of this bed.  I had no idea that when I got up and started the company it would  actually become a viable, thriving business that touches the lives of many families so quickly.

As I make presentations about my company to groups of Women and Men, I am extremely touched when they share their bed rest stories with me, sometimes through tears, and sometimes sweetly from the Daddy’s point of view.  I hear, I wish you were here 16 years ago, 5 years ago, 18 months ago, and I think I wish I would have had myself a Year ago!!!  I am honored when people thank me for the work and services that my company provides, it’s in those moments that I realize I’m truly doing what I am called to do.

My Grandmother told me when I was a little girl, Help Others More Than You Help Yourself and you will find true happiness.  Her words couldn’t be more true in my life today!  Thank you, Shirley Faye for being an inspiration, a true teacher, my first love and always my biggest fan!  

We carry the lessons of our Mother’s for a Lifetime.
